Mile High Stadium is where you will find one of the best events this Father's Day in Denver. This year's Denver BBQ Festival is three days of eating BBQ, drinking the best local brews and listening to some of our most popular Denver bands.
Over the three days, you can also learn more about how to become the best grill master on your block during BBQ workshops. There is also a VIP section where you can mingle with other top BBQ experts. The event is free, but you must buy tickets to the workshops and to get into the VIP area.
The biggest performance this weekend is the Broadway hit, The Book of Mormon. Written by the creators of South Park, this hilarious musical follows two naive and friendly young men on a mission in Uganda as they work to spread the word about their religion.
You will find performances one show on Friday night at 7:30 pm. There are two shows on both Saturday and on Sunday at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.
It's time to Greek out at the Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral! Your family doesn't have to be Greek to attend Denver's 53rd annual festival honoring the culture of this beautiful Mediterranean country.
Watch traditional dances; listen to live music; and browse artwork, jewelry, books, and photography. The best part is sure to be the tasty authentic Greek dishes and pastries. There are also family-friendly games and activities, tours of the cathedral, and a chance to win two airline tickets to Greece.

Get out of town with dad during this four-hour trip to the scenic Denver foothills. Adventurers will meet at Union Station in downtown before heading out to take in gorgeous views at Lookout Mountain and Lariat Loop. See Red Rocks Amphitheater, an acoustically perfect outdoor concert venue carved out by Mother Nature. You'll also get to stop at small historic towns along the way and visit Buffalo Bill Cody's gravesite and museum.

If your dad has a classic car, or just loves to look at them, bring him to Arvada for its 14th annual Father's Day Car Show. There's also a fun run, 5K, and 10K on the grounds. Guests will enjoy food, live music, and family activities.
Admission is free for spectators. Car registration is $25 at pre-registration or $30 the day of the event if you want to show off your wheels!

Head out to the drag strip for a Father's Day weekend featuring NHRA Sportsman Classes, Bandimere Classes, NHRA Harley-Davidson Classes, and funny cars.
Spend Friday with dad watching time trials, qualifying, and the women's expo. Then return on Saturday for the preliminary and final eliminations and ceremonies.
Friday's event runs from 8am to 8pm and on Saturday it's from 8 am to 10 pm. All races are at Bandimere Speedway, 3051 S. Rooney Road in Morrison.

Coors Field is one of the premier baseball stadiums in the league and the Rockies are always in the fight for a World Series Championship. Taking pops out to a baseball game would be the perfect way to celebrate him and America's pastime all at once. The Rockies will be taking on divisional rivals the San Diego Padres for 3 games this Father's Day Weekend.
Make sure to check out the line of purple seats in the Coors Field outfield. They are exactly 5,280 feet above sea level (one mile), so you might want to take a photo so show your friends and family!
Friday's game is at 6:40 pm while Saturday and Sunday's are both at 1:10 pm.

Treat your dad to some mouth-watering barbecue at the Colorado BBQ Challenge in Frisco on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Now in its 25th year, the event features more than 70 barbecuers, live music, pig races, activities for children, and a firefighter cook-off.
On Saturday, the day begins with a 6K "Bacon Burner" fun run at 9:30 a.m. and ends at various local restaurants offering happy hour drink specials.
The kick off concert is on Thursday from 8pm to 9:30pm (no BBQ). Friday's event runs from 11am to 9pm. Saturday's event runs from 10am to 6pm. All events for the Colorado BBQ Challenge are at 300 Main Street in Frisco, CO.
