The Colorado Rapids take the field against teams such as the Portland Timbers and FC Dallas. The Outlaws, Denver's outdoor lacrosse team play teams such as the Florida Launch, Atlanta Blaze, and Charlotte Hounds.
July is the warmest month of the year in Denver. Days typically start out in the mid-50s, then top off in the upper 80s and sometimes 90s. With average rainfall at only 1.7 inches, July is one of the drier summer months.
Pack summer clothes for sightseeing during the day, but bring along a light sweater or jacket for those evening outdoor concerts. Whatever activity you choose, it's best to have several layers available during your Denver stay. And don't forget your sunglasses — Denver has more than 300 sunny days a year.
