The biggest Memorial Day ceremony this weekend is the Veterans Memorial Day Tribute Ceremony at the POF Hall at 1340 Sherman St just south of the Colorado State Capitol Building. The event honors Colorado's fallen soldiers with a parade and ceremony. It's on the Saturday before the holiday and starts at 10 am.
Another annual ceremony is at the Fort Logan National Cemetery at 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue. The event features guest speakers and ends with a 21-gun salute. All activities are near the lake and start at around 11 am on Monday.

The cute lion cub Simba has been declared the next Lion King and will succeed his father, Mufasa. However, Scar, his uncle, is a bitter and distrustful lion who wants to be in control and rule the Pride Lands. Scar schemes with a clan of evil hyenas and tries to kill Mufasa and Simba.
As the hyenas and Scar work towards taking over the Pride Lands, Simba makes two new friends, a meerkat named Nala and a warthog named Timon. As this amazing musical continues, Scar and Simba have a final battle to decide who will rule and who will fall. Will Simba win or will it be Scar? You'll have to see the show to find out!
You may have seen the Lion King movie but there is nothing like seeing it in person. As a winner of 6 Tony Awards, including the prestigious Best Musical, this show is famous for its incredible costumes, dancing, songs, and special effects.
Unfortunately the theater is closed on Monday, so there isn't a show on Memorial Day. There is one show on Friday, two shows on Saturday, and two more shows on Sunday so you can still see The Lion King during Memorial Day Weekend. All shows are at the Buell Theater.
Spend Memorial Day weekend in Denver at the ballpark and cheer on the Rockies! They will be playing one of the top teams from the East, the Philadelphia Phillies, with their star Bryce Harper, as they start the Memorial Day weekend at Coors Field from Friday the 22nd to Sunday the 24th.
Then starting on Memorial Day, the Rockies face their most hated rival, The Los Angeles Dodgers, from May 25th to May 28th. This Memorial Day match up is sure to be a great one as they are both always in the hunt for the division and will be putting up a great line up for you to see each day.

Numerous stages around downtown Denver
This one-day music festival benefiting children's nonprofit Amp the Cause features five stages of local and national musicians. All performances are downtown on the 16th Street Mall. Admission is free. Vendors and food trucks will be onsite.

The Colorado Symphony performs Friday, Saturday and Sunday night during Memorial Day Weekend in Denver. This weekend's performance is Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica" conducted by Brian Mitchell. The show also includes two other pieces that bracket Symphony No. 3.

This 64-acre family water park features about 50 attractions, including the famed Screamin' Mimi, a ride that has speeds of up to 30 miles an hour. If that’s not your speed, and you just want to chill out, check out the leisurely Lazy River. There are also picnic areas, food stands, and a gift shop. Water World is open from 10 to 6 pm.

One of the largest and most popular road races in the US is in BolderBoulder on Memorial Day. With more than 50,000 runners every year, the BolderBOULDER's 100 different waves of athletes start at 6:50am on Monday morning.
The International Pro Race starts at 11:15 am. These runners race though the course with the first participants finishing around 11:45 am.
Make sure to stick around Folsom Field for the Memorial Day Tribute. It's one of the largest in the US with more than 70,000 spectators.
