There is no better of the Denver events in August than seeing a movie in the spectacular Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Not only will you see a fun movie during your visit, you will also be able to enjoy live music and even see a comedian perform if you are lucky.
The first show presented was The Godfather and 65,000 people attended. Even though the venue holds many people, it is always best to purchase your tickets in advance so you can get exactly what you want since there are different levels of experiences.
This months films are The Goonies (8/7) and Black Panther (8/13).
The River North (RiNo) District has taken off in the last few years and is one of the top brewery destinations in the US. With more than a dozen breweries in this one district, you are sure to find a few brews to enjoy.
Head over to the district for their First Friday event (8/3). Starting at around 6pm, you will find special activities to celebrate the new month including art displays, live music, and more. It's a great time to check out this district.
If you can't make that and want to sample some of the best in the neighborhood, check out this 3-hour guided tour around the district. It leaves at 10:30am, 2pm and 6pm most days of the week. It's a great way to learn more about the district as you sample beer from three breweries. You won't have to walk either, as you will be taken from one location to the next on an eTuk.

The Denver Broncos have two pre-season home games this year this month. Rated as one of the most popular Denver events in August, the Denver Broncos games are sure to be a hit with your entire family. Plus, there is no better place to see a game than in Mile High Stadium.

I'm sure you've heard about all the great concerts at Red Rocks, but did you know it's one of the most popular places for yoga on Saturday mornings in the Summer? In August, Yoga on the Rocks offers three one hour long sessions at Red Rocks.
Yoga starts at 7am and runs until 8am. Make sure to arrive a little early as this popular event sells out almost every time. This month's teachers include Beryl Fanslow (8/4), Derise Anjanette (8/11), and Kacey Kingry + Kelly Wilson (8/18).
The Rocky Mountain Air & Ground Festival is back! After a 3-year hiatus, this fun event offers you and your family the chance to learn all about aviation. It includes two airshows and the chance to see some of these amazing planes up close on the ground. The airshows run from 10am to 11:30am and from 1:30pm to 3pm.
The event is at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA) in Broomfield. Gates open at 9am.
The National Western Complex will host this year's Streetlow Magazine Colorado Super Show. It's your chance to see more than 300 colorful cars from the lowrider community. It features a hop competition, live music from around the region and a full day of fun.
The Colorado Classic Professional Bike Race is a great time to watch the pros in action. This is one of the family-friendly Denver events in August. The race starts with two days in Vail on 8/16 & 8/17. It then moves to Denver with races on both 8/18 & 8/19. The race includes both male and female professional riders.
New Belgium Brewing Company invites you to celebrate the two-wheel cycle at this year's Tour de Fat. The event features food, beer, bikes, and live music. All ticket proceeds will go to help local bike non-profits. It runs from 12pm to 5pm at Sculpture Park on Speer Boulevard.

Outside the Mile High City, you'll find fun events such as Venus de Miles (Colorado's largest women's benefit bike ride), a festival dedicated to corn, and all the great attractions at the state fair in Pueblo.
