Halloween parties in Denver 2017 include many chances to dress up in ghoulish gear and dance to monster beats in some of the Mile High City's most terrifyingly terrific venues. We've narrowed down the list to make it easier to find the best one this year.

Ghouls, ghosts, and other costumed guests will have the run of downtown's whimsical Curtis Hotel. This is one of the Halloween parties in Denver that includes three ballrooms of DJs, live music and performers, and 28 bartenders at your service. Playboy Playmate Tiffany Toth hosts one of Denver's biggest costume contests with a top prize of $1,500.

Location: Starting location at Howl at the Moon
Celebrate Halloween on this bar crawl that takes you to some of downtown's best lounges. Your ticket gets you gift cards and drink specials at in several locations. Get into the spirit by posting photos of your costume on social media for a chance at the $500 prize.

Location: McNichols Civic Center Building
Cost: Starts at $55 per person
Enjoy this Rocky Horror Experience at the McNichols Civic Center Building as you celebrate Halloween and help raise money for the V2 Education Foundation. It's one of the most popular Halloween parties in Denver every year and is sure to sell out.
The event includes 50+ performers, 4 DJs, 3 floors, and live bands. Your ticket includes alcohol all night long. Make sure to wear your best costume in order to enter for the best costume of the night which could net you up to $2,000!
Location: Ophelia's Electric Soapbox, 1215 20th St.
Cost: $10 and up
This is one of the Halloween parties in Denver where you want to come decked out in your best costume. Ophelia's Electric Soapbox is the setting: a multilevel boudoir-style restaurant and music venue inside a historic building. The talented DJ A-L (The Soul Pros/Future Classic Music) will spin a unique blend of spooky sounds. Nominated as "Best DJ" by Westword, DJ A-L can often be found hosting the popular SNAP! '90s Dance Party.

Get a look at Colorado Springs' darkside at this year's Mystery Bash at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. This annual event features a popular costume contest, live music, and other entertainment. Make sure to stop by the photo booth for fun pics of your costume this year and pick up some goodies at the top local food trucks.

Cost: $65, includes open bar
The historic yet urban chic Mile High Station in downtown hosts this exclusive costume ball featuring bartenders pouring unlimited cocktails, beer, and wine. The "Best of the Ball" contest awards $1,000 to the best-costumed guest, and DJs will get you on the dance floor with their mix of Top 40, hip-hop, soul, and pop sounds. It's one of the Halloween parties in Denver you do not want to miss!

Pub crawl in costume through the LoDo district, Denver's birthplace that is now a nightlife hub. After getting your wristband and map of participating bars, spend Halloween weekend walking from one fun LoDo establishment to the next, sampling drink and food specials along the way. It's an easy and affordable way to check out many Denver hotspots!

Billed as "Colorado's Biggest Halloween Costume Party," come dressed to dance at this celebration featuring five stages of entertainment. Your ears will enjoy the sonic Halloween treats by acts such as DJs Seven Lions, Morgan Page, Ilan Bluestone, TheFatRat, and more. This is one of the only Halloween Parties in Denver on my list that is ages 16+.
Location: Governor's Residence, 400 E. Eighth Ave.
Cost: $30, includes one drink ticket
The 1908 Cheesman-Evans-Boettcher Mansion, where Colorado's governors have lived since 1960, opens its doors for a night of haunted fun — Hollywood style! Try not to scream as you tour this historic home transformed into scary scenes from classic horror films. Hear spooky stories told by the Black Actors Guild, and sample frighteningly festive foods.
Location: McNichols Civic Center Building, 114 W. Colfax Ave.
Cost: $79 and up, includes alcohol
The Civic Center gets a frightening transformation into Paranormal Palace, a cursed mausoleum filled with giant skulls and spiders, clowns, strongmen, contortionists, and many more performers. Do the monster mash to tunes spun by four different DJs. Come in costume so you don't miss a chance to win $2,000! This annual fundraiser for the V2 Education Foundation starts at 9pm.
Location: Cluster Studios, 3881 Steele St.
Cost: $31 and up, includes open bar
Step back into the days of speakeasies at Sync It!, a lip sync competition with Cirque performers that features a $1,000 prize package. This RiNo warehouse district venue will be transformed into a speakeasy featuring live performances, DJs, a cannabis bus, adult trick or treating, gift bags, and food trucks.
